A new issue of Life in Galway is now at the printer and will be out in the Galway Community next week. However, it can be seen on line . Just click here. 25 – Life in Galway, Summer 2017, Issue Twenty-Five
Ted Lovelass the friendly grocer of Galway Market is being featured. Though, Ted closed the market in 2016 due to health issues, he made a significant impact upon our community in the nearly 40 years that he ran Galway Market. It was a family business with his wife, Diane, and their two children, Kevin and Jennifer working alongside Ted, plus a host of others from the Galway community that he employed over the years. In interviewing Ted, I discovered that not only was he in the Lions Club, but he served as president of the Galway chapter. A great lover of sports, he is now enjoying his grandsons’ passion and skill in playing golf for Galway High School. You are going to enjoy this article!
A second article concerns what I have learned in 40 years of ministry as the Pastor of the Bible Baptist Church of Galway. Now that I’m retired from the Post Office after 30 years working there, and now coming to the milestone of my 40th anniversary of being the pastor of the Baptist Church in Galway, this article provided me with an opportunity to reflect about what I have learned and truly believe about being a pastor, living the Christian life, the Bible, God, myself, and what God has done for us.
If you’d like to find out how this pastor views life, it can’t help but come out in this article. Of course every writer or speaker conveys much about themselves by merely opening their mouth or with every written piece. If you wish to remain an enigma to others, say nothing. If you don’t say a word, nobody knows what you are thinking. As Christ taught, words [spoken or written] are the overflow of a person’s heart.
I hope you enjoy this issue.
